Entry into Australia

Unless you are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, you will need a visa to enter Australia. All other passport holders must apply for a visa before leaving home. Visit for more information.

Booking your travel to Sydney

Sydney Airport is Australia's largest airport so it is well appointed for international and domestic travellers. It conveniently located just 8kms from the city centre.  

Transport from Sydney Airport

You can access taxis and rideshare services when you arrive. The Sydney CBD is a short, 20 minute ride away and will cost about $45-$55 one way. You'll find taxi ranks at the front of all terminals - simply follow the signs to the nearest ranks.

Sydney Airport is located just 13 minutes by train from the city. Airport Link offers a fast and convenient way to reach the city and suburbs, with trains running approximately every 10 minutes. The station is located at the northern end of the terminal and accessible from the Arrivals level. To use this service, you can either purchase an Opal Card from the station, Relay or WH Smith, or tap on with your Amex, Visa or Mastercard. Car Rental

October sees Sydney’s weather warm up with average temperatures between 18 - 22 degrees Celsius and 11 rainy days.

Goods and Services Tax

Goods and Services in Australia are subject to a 10% tax (GST). This tax is usually included in the price and if not, it is clearly stated. The Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS) enables travellers to claim a refund of the goods and services tax (GST) and wine equalisation tax (WET) paid on some goods bought in Australia. Visit the Australian Customs website for details about what you can claim and how.


Australia uses a 240-volt 50 cycle system with 3 pin flat plugs.

Public Transport in Sydney 

Paper tickets are no longer available on public bus, train or ferry services anywhere in Sydney. To use these services, travellers can either use a credit card or must purchase and load funds on an Opal Card, both utilise the touch-on touch-off payment method.

Self car parking is available at the Hotel for $50 per day. Please contact the hotel on 02 8268 1888 to reserve a car space as spots are limited.

Name Badges 

Name badges will be given to all delegates on registration. We ask that you wear your badge at all times, including social functions. Entry tickets will be given for all social and optional events.
